Sand Writers is a writing group located on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. Our purpose is to encourage members to write, to improve their writing whether fiction, non-fiction or poetry, and, if they wish, to publish their work.
Members are committed to positive, constructive feedback and empowering members to experiment with and share their writing. We have an active program of workshops, visitor programs and publications New members are always welcome! Interested people are invited to visit and experience meetings to assess whether the format and discussions will suit their needs. |
MeetingsSand Writers meet every Friday of each month from February to December except for the first Friday of each month. Members gather from 9.30am and discussions usually last until noon.
Location: Church of Christ, Porter Street, Goolwa Costs: Members pay a membership fee of $50 per year. There is a contribution of $3 for each meeting to cover the cost of hall hire and the provision of tea, coffee and biscuits. Visitors may attend meetings before deciding whether to join and attend on a more permanent basis. |
