Our purpose
Our activities affirm our beliefs in the power of writing and reading in a collective framework to build social cohesion and assist in using the healing properties of language discussions and writing as a group activity.
The existence and activities of the group are strengthened by the presentation of quality workshops and extending the experience and exposure of members of the interested public in literature. |
MembershipMembers pay a membership fee of $50 per year. Membership fees are due in January each year or can be paid half yearly in January and July.
For each meeting attended there is a contribution of $3 to cover the cost of hall hire and the provision of tea, coffee and biscuits. Visitors are encouraged to attend meetings before deciding whether to join and attend on a more permanent basis. |
MeetingsSand Writers meet every Friday of each month from February to December except for the first Friday of each month. Members gather from 9.30am and discussions usually last until noon.
